Importance Of Language Techniques Which Students Must Understand



Language is the prime mode of communication and with time it has developed. Different people use different language which has their unique style and tone to speak. People can share their thoughts and ideas through language. One can use language to communicate in two ways that are verbal or writing. Both are the best ways to communicate the ideas of mind among people.      

Each language has various features, styles, and tones and you need to follow these features while writing or talking. You should make good command of the language and have basic knowledge of the language which you used.  

What Is The Language Technique?

Language technique is one of the most important elements that is used to emphasize the main point on your topic. A student should know about the language technique when they are writing their assignments. It plays a vital role in writing essays, assignments, and different types of writing. There are different language techniques found everywhere in essays, stories, etc.    

Main Types Of Language Techniques Used In Academic Writing  

The language technique makes a good impact in writing and helps in scoring good marks for students. They should aware of different features of writing. There are different types of language techniques.  Here, we discuss some of them as given below:

Assonance- It is a language technique the similar sound of vowel comes in two or more words within a line of poetry or prose. The repetition often occurs in the vowel sound and it is used in English language poetry. It is used as a substitute for rhymes in a verse.  

Personification- It is the language technique that signifies the quality of a person to the object. It is a part of the metaphor, the figure of speech in which an object or idea is described as a living being in form of behavior, emotion, and quality. This technique is commonly used in visual arts.    

Imagery- The primary purpose of using this technique is to create a picture of the thoughts in the reader’s mind. Poets, authors, novelists, dramatists mostly use this technique in their writing. This is a great way to visualize the scene to the reader through the metamorphic and figurative language.  

Idioms- This is another language technique that shows the expression which has a figurative meaning related to the phrase. These are commonly used in daily life. You cannot understand the meaning by reading it separately from the phrase.  

Minor sentence- When the writer use fragmented sentences or single words these are known as minor sentences. In the minor sentence, we often find the missing subject or object because it is a ferment sentence. The words or phrases are used as complete sentences in this technique.  

Proverb- This technique is rendering idioms. The writer uses it to connect the minor sentences based on the truth to define the common sense and shared experiences through the phrase. These are the traditional self-contained sentences.    

Along with the above types of language techniques, there is a wide range of language of techniques. Students should learn this technique while their academic writing.
